And
so it is stated in Part I: - human beings always ought to WORSHIP only God the Father
of - humans ought to PRAY to and COMMUNE with Eternal Son and/or His Creator Son of their local universe (such as Christ Michael of Nebadon for Urantians), - humans ought to work out details of their earthly
sojourn in connection with the intelligences of the operating on their planetary world and throughout their local universe of Nebadon. Michael
of Nebadon, the Sovereign of our local universe and the Paradise Creator Son,
presides over the destinies of Nebadon, standing in place of both the
Universal Father and the Eternal Son of Christ
Michael receives, in the name of the Father, the adoration of worship and
gives ear to the pleas of their petitioning subjects throughout his
respective creation of Nebadon. For
these reasons, Michael of Nebadon as the Son of God, is for all practical
intents and purposes, God to all of the children of his local universe of
Nebadon, because he is the local universe personification of the Universal
Father and the Eternal Son. The
Infinite Spirit maintains personal contact with the children of the realm
through the local universe Mother Spirits, the administrative and creative
associates of Michael of Nebadon. Sincere
worship connotes the mobilization of all powers of the human personality
under the dominance of the evolving soul, subject to the direct input of the
indwelling presence of the divine “I AM” Father’s spirit fragment, the
Thought Adjuster. Due
to material limitations, human mind can never become highly conscious
of the real significance of true worship. Man’s
realization of the reality of the worship experience is chiefly determined by
the developmental status of his evolving immortal soul. The spiritual growth
of man’s soul is the process that takes place wholly independently of his
intellectual “self”-consciousness. The
worship experience consists in the sublime attempt of the betrothed
Adjuster to communicate to the divine Father the inexpressible
longings and the unutterable aspirations of the human soul;
the conjoint creation of the God-seeking mortal mind and the God-revealing
immortal Adjuster. Worship
is, therefore, the act of the material mind’s assenting to the attempt of its
human spiritualizing “self”, under the guidance of the associated Father’s “I
AM” spirit fragment, to communicate with God as a mortal “faith son” of the
Universal God the Father. And
so it is: -
the mortal “self”- soul mind consents to worship; -
the immortal “Self”-soul mind craves
and initiates worship; -
the divine “I AM Present” Adjuster conducts such worship in behalf of the mortal “self”-soul and the evolving immortal
“Self”-soul ( also known as the morontial “causal body” of
the Adjustor’s “I AM” Father’s spirit presence). True
worship, therefore in the last analysis, becomes a human evolutionary
experience realized on four cosmic levels: 1. On evolutionary physical-intellectual (mortal-“self”)
level as the consciousness of
the mortal soul or “I am-self” physical mind, 2. On the morontial (immortal-“Self” causal body) level as
the immortal soul or “I am Self”
morontial mind, 3. On the spiritual (“I AM” Father’s spirit fragment)
level as the pre-personal
Father’s Adjustor or “I AM” divine
spirit pre-personal
mind, 4. On the personal, as the unification of all of the three
above in the personality of
the immortal destiny – “I AM self-Self
Presence” personal mind, i.e. fused
mortal and immortal soul personalities and identities
with Father’s “I AM” pre-personal Thought Adjustor
